More than two thousand ﬁve hundred residents of Owa-Alero and other communities in Owa Kingdom have beneﬁted from the free medical programme at the
instance of the Isioma Okobah Foundation in conjunction with Medical Students from the Georgia State University, Atlanta Georgia in the United States of America.
The Beneﬁciaries of the programme were mostly the elderly including men and women, pregnant women, youths and children.
Most of the beneﬁciaries were diagnosed of common ailments as pains, diabetes, general body weakness, high blood pressure, sleeplessness and Visual related challenges.
They were examined and presented medications and glasses free of charge.
Earlier, the founder of the Isioma Okobah Foundation, Dr. Mrs. Isioma Okobah Intimated the beneﬁciaries that the free medical programme was designed to promote their health condition. ’
She admonished them to take issues relating to their health seriously saying that health is wealth.
Some of the beneﬁciaries who spoke to our correspondent expressed appreciation to DR. Mrs. Okobah and the team of Medical Doctors saying that they have not had it so good.
One of the beneﬁciaries particularly acknowledged the legendary contribution of Dr. Mrs. Isioma Okobah towards promoting the health of the rural populace.
They prayed God to bless the team of medical Doctors for their kind gesture.
